40 grand in the hole
This summer I can either go on The Greatest Roadtrip Ever (2006 Edition) or I can buy a new macbook.
I pitty those of you that don't understand how huge a struggle it is to figure out what the right choice is.
For those of you that feel my pain... thank you.

A new Mac?? Gah! I do feel the pain. Every so often I go into Future Shop to look at the Mac's. Mine is slowly dying and I need a new one. By December, maybe.
Yeah, they just came out with the macbook and macbook pro. The new, dual core versions of the ibook and power book.
I'm going to wait until the next generation of the macbook comes out. It never pays to be an early adapter. I let my friends rush out, get the latest new toy, watch them return it 3 times because of various flaws, see the flaws fixed in the next generation and then buy it myself.
I know a few people that are on macbook #2 already because of various issues.
Good idea - I am always tempted to buy these things when they first come out. Luckily, I never have enough money to do that! Except for my iPod Nano, which I sold (I'm going to get another one eventually).
